Podstatou projektu je ověřit experimentální možnosti stanovení mrazuvzdornosti betonu ve stávajících konstrukcích, neboť momentálně neexistuje žádná normou předepsaná metoda zkoušení této charakteristiky betonu. Záměrem projektu je tedy definovat, jakým způsobem je možné nejsnáze ověřit, zda betonu v konstrukci je nebo není mrazuvzdorný.
