Specifický výzkum v oblasti využití technik strojového zpracování a statistické analýzy zvukových a obrazových signálů bude zaměřen na následující oblasti: biomarkery neurodegenerativních a neurovývojových onemocnění, analýza obrazů ve veřejné dopravě, bezpečnostní incidenty IZS a sběrné dvory, detekce pravosti uměleckých děl, a metody pro zpracování a rekonstrukci zvukových signálů a analýzu hudební děl.
