The aim is to make the students acquainted with the most frequently used techniques of business management, and to teach the students to use some of them.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student will learn the basic skills in leadership, management of changes in social systems, and self-control. He or she will gain the knowledge of the principal management techniques as basis of further personal development.

Prerequisites

Practical experience in an architectural office as motivation to management study.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The assessment is based on a progressively developed project of a small architetonical office. The project is discussed in the group and the subject is concluded by a credit.

Aims

The aim of the subject is to give to the studebnts opportunity to recognise principles of the management behaviour to give them chance to be be equal partners in negotiations of orders and to offer them the overview of the management technics, whioch are necessary for the successfull leadership and management of the small architectonical company.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

The control consist in monitoring the conclusion of the individual stages of the project of an architectural office.
