Essential principles of management theory (planning, organisation, personal work, control) in relation to modern trends and methods. General theory and practical experience of management in the span of ecology and in the branch of water management. Basics of marketing (customer orientation, marketing mix, publicity etc.).

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Ability of orientation in the fields of water management, basics of project management, risk control. Ability to provide basic technical-economical analysis: Analysis loss - profit, break point, Financial analysis of domestic waste collection, Net Present Value of sewerage network, Earned Value Analysis.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.Mandatory participation in seminars, working out exercises and essay which is presented at the end of semestr. Examles are processed in LMS Moodle.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Mandatory participation in seminars at the seminars (only allowed one excused absence) submitting examples of exercises deadlines. Written and oral examination.
