Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will command basic grammar rules for the present tense, they will be able to introduce themselves and start communication in English, to talk about themselves and their families and to say what they do in their free time.

In order to successfully finish the subject, students need to attend classes regularly (max. 3 absences/semester), do homework and actively participate in the lessons.

2. 1B/C verb be (questions and negatives), possessive adjectives / countries and nationalities, numbers 10-100
3. 1D/E a, an, plurals, this, that / common objects, classroom language
4. 2A present simple (affirmative and negative sentences) / verb phrases
5. 2B present simple (questions) / jobs
6. 2 C/D possessive "´s" / family
7. 3A adjectives
8. 3B telling the time / daily routine
9. 3C adverbs of frequency / prepositions of time
10. 3D/E preposition of time / the date, ordinal numbers
11. 4A can, can´t / more verb phrases
12. 4B like + ing / shopping
13. 4C/E object pronouns / in a clothes shop

Students will command basic grammar rules for the present tense, they will be able to introduce themselves and start communication in English, to talk about themselves and their families and to say what they do in their free time.
