Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will obtain basic habits and skills in the process of data pick-up, transmission and processing on the pilot plant equipment;

Prerequisites

Mathematics - vector algebra, differentials and integrals basis;
Physics - basis of mass point, hydrodynamics, thermodynamics and diffusion basis;
Instumentaions - physics quantities measurement, transmission and processing;
Chemical engineering I.

Co-requisites

Not applicable.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course uses teaching methods in form of Laboratory exercise - 2 teaching hours per week. The e-learning system (LMS Moodle) is available to teachers and students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Graded course-unit credit system. The student evaluation depends on the prescribed measurement attendance, the measured process knowledge, measurement skills and self-activities, the report term and quality elaboration. The student credit is condicioned by the possible reimburse payment. The measurment in the alternate term is possible in the very limited terms.

Course curriculum

0) Rules of the safety work in the Chemical engineering lab;
1) Processes of sedimentation;
2) Pumping;
3) Heat transfer F-F (in the tube in tube exchanger);
4) Drying;
5) Mixing;
6) Milling and Separation on sieves;
7) Presure drops in pipe-lines;
8) Fluidisation;

Note: The real order of measurement of the separate couples of students on the 1) - 8) posts will determine the teacher
