Course detail

Mechanical Desktop

FEKT-LMDPAcad. year: 2010/2011

The first part of the course is devoted to surface modelling, wireframe and surface. The second part deals with solid modelling, model editing, gaining information on its physical features and methods of rendering 2D construction documentation from a model. Practical exercises use the English version of AutoCAD 2000. The final part of the course is devoted to the basics of parametric model and assembly creation. Practical exercises use the English version of Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 4.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will acquire complex knowledge of 3D modelling, surface and solid modelling, they will learn about their possible use, as well as about the advantages of each type and differences between them. They will be able to apply their knowledge to any 3D software.
They will be able to build upon their knowledge in following MTMS a MRSD courses which deal with modelling based on EPD (ELECTRONIC PRODUCT DEFINITION).

Prerequisites

The subject knowledge on the Bachelor´s degree level is requested.

Co-requisites
