The topic is focused on the changes of settlements and landscape in the South Moravian borderland after World War II to the present and the uncertain prediction of the future (development potential for 30 years - 2050). The program, monitored information and data will deal with significant phenomena in the cultural landscape against the background of political and social changes that have fundamentally changed the structure of settlement and landscape, demography, farming and much more. Major changes in settlement and landscape are mainly associated with changes in land ownership and real estate during the period under review. The time frame of the topic is the post-war state and the subsequent stages of society-wide changes 1950 - 1990, 1990 - 2020 and 2020 - 2050. The territorial framework of the topic is the of cadastres municipalities affected by the expulsion of the German-speaking population in the Znojmo region.

The research will be based on information on the National Database of Brownfields, administered by the CzechInvest Agency - a state contributory organization subordinated to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The research will focus on the status and perspectives of brownfield development in the Czech Republic with regard to opportunities and lessons from development.

Search for the new and current concepts for the renewal and revitalization of religious buildings and areas in the new social and urban context. The theme is focused on assessing the potential of existing unused or underused religious buildings and areas for new functions while preserving their cultural architectural and urban values.
Current trends in the development of European cities offer a wide range of alternatives. Unlike fast-growing Asian cities, Europeans cities are not usually exposed to such population growth, and yet we observe frequent tendencies to build apartment buildings to heights. The subject of the assignment are the residential high-rise buildings and their relationships in the urban context.

Research on the development and trends of information and communication infrastructure of the urban environment, data collection and openness, their commoditization and use by urban platforms. With regard to the authenticity of settlements and quality of life, the impact of urban platforms on the urban environment and the life of society will be investigated.
