The topic is focused on the changes of settlements and landscape in the South Moravian borderland after World War II to the present and the uncertain prediction of the future (development potential for 30 years - 2050). The program, monitored information and data will deal with significant phenomena in the cultural landscape against the background of political and social changes that have fundamentally changed the structure of settlement and landscape, demography, farming and much more. Major changes in settlement and landscape are mainly associated with changes in land ownership and real estate during the period under review. The time frame of the topic is the post-war state and the subsequent stages of society-wide changes 1950 - 1990, 1990 - 2020 and 2020 - 2050. The territorial framework of the topic is the of cadastres municipalities affected by the expulsion of the German-speaking population in the Znojmo region.

Research focused on topical issues based on the real needs of marginalised populations in an environment actively supported by humanitarian aid. Based on the study of case studies and real situations, a description of the problems associated with the organization of temporary housing structures in affected areas of the world. Based on the compilation of an overview of the main actors, the challenges they face, the opportunities and lessons learned from reference examples of population support solutions, the design of future scenarios, the tools for their implementation, taking into account the development of society, the knowledge and resource base and the principles of sustainability.

Search for the new and current concepts for the renewal and revitalization of religious buildings and areas in the new social and urban context. The theme is focused on assessing the potential of existing unused or underused religious buildings and areas for new functions while preserving their cultural architectural and urban values.
The topic is focused on the transformation of settlements in the South Moravian and Lower Austrian borderlands from the Second World War to the present and the prediction of the future. Phenomena that affected the structure of settlements, agricultural plots and the landscape will be analyzed. It is assumed, for example, to carry out an analysis of the demographic development in recent decades, when comparable data are available on the Czech and Austrian sides.

Prefab housing estates in the Czech Republic (in Slovakia) represent a popular form of housing. On the basis of data (e.g. data from population censuses in recent decades) trends in development can be analyzed and confronted with the needs of the local community. Are the prefab housing estates a stable home or a temporary housing with appropriate demands for such location?
Pluralism of post-modern period, globalization and purposes of sustainable development bring new requirements into our city organisation and our settlement of country-side. Do our settlements and their traditional compositional elements comply with the needs of the near future? Is the corresponding form compact city or garden city?
