The dissertation is focused on the architectural heritage conservation. The subject might be an analysis of a selected work or set of works, methodological critics, historiographical research or theoretical study connected to local or international legislation and conventions.

Since 1960‘s there is a recurrent discussion on architecture without architects taking place in an ongoing architectural debate as well as the debate concerning Koolhaas’ Junckspace. Moreover, some current phenomena are considered non-architectural or anti-architectural even in case they participate in processes of architectural formation and influence it. Research of this general phenomenon will tackle general question: What is considered non-architecture in current architectural design, production and reflection and with what consequences?

As a prerequisite, this research assumes some sort of experience with a prior research/design work in realm of Japan architectonic culture. This research will focus on a comparative analysis, an interpretation and also possibly a generalization of Japan and European architectural concepts chosen and formulated by student.
The thesis deals with the current topic of affordable housing in the context of climate change, energy crisis, migration, housing shortage and other aspects of contemporary architecture and construction in relation to the housing policy of the Czech Republic in comparison with two selected countries (one from Central or Eastern Europe and one from Western Europe).

The aim is to sort out the system and evaluate the current structure of mansions in a defined area (southern Moravia), an assessment of their current situation from different perspectives, with emphasis on the possibilities for their future use.

The dissertation is focused on architectural interventions benefitting archaeological conservation and interpretation. The subject might be an analysis of protective halls or shelters above excavations, pedestrian walks and lookout towers in archaeological areas, exhibition pavilions, education trails and their stops and boards, partially or totally reconstructed landmarks etc.
The proposed research builds on a previous knowledge of the topic of technological buildings architecture, which will be deepened via case studies in a relation to a critical reflection within the current theoretical discourse dealing with their influence on the transformation of the urban environment, landscape and the society.

The dissertation is focused on SOKOL movement in Yugoslavia and architecture, history , typology and form in historical and social context

Research in the field of contemporary architectural theory will focus on relations between technical pictures/images (e.g. photography, video, computer images and those generated by AI). The research subject is mainly the nature of current technical images/pictures and how they influence the creative process of architectural design and reception of current architectural works. The focus of research is to be specified according to student’s preferences on: photography, video, computer imagery and AI-generated image/picture.
The dissertation is focused on traditional form languages and typologies in architecture from the turn of the 20th century until the present. The subject might be an analysis of the work of particular architect/s, architecture in specific region, particular typology, or application of traditional design in the contemporary architecture.
