Originální abstrakt

This article deals with optical elements that are used to build of optical networks. When the signal passes through these elements it is not amplified or regenerated; it is only split or attenuated. In the paper, important transmission parameters of these passive optical elements are discussed, and basic measurement methods for their measurement are published. Recommendations for the choice of optical elements for building optical networks that issue from the measurement of these transmission parameters are also mentioned.
