Today, the reliability of municipal drainage can be seen as a multidimensional parameter. Its significance has increased with a growing demand on the performance of an urban area in more complex condilions. A major task of a municipal sewer system is the hydraulic reliability. Furthermore, hygienic, economic and aesthetic failures, and transport exclusions must be excluded to prevent health hazard to people. Many factors influence the reliability of a municipal sewer system. However, this paper refers only to the hydraulic condition of a sewer system with respect to the occurrence of hydraulic overloads.
