Typical slope movements in region of the Moravian karst in the Czech Republic are described. Based upon the experiences with a road reconstruction, the engineering-geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical characteristics of the rock environment are given. The methodology of the slope stability analysis is based on a long-term observation. Engineering-geological and hydrogeological mapping with speleological studding and influence of karstification in the slope vicinity have been proved. Geophysics, borings and the geodetic measurement have verified these results. Engineering-geological evaluation and slope stabilisation on several rock walls has been studied. As examples, rock wall monitoring in the vicinity of Catherine and Punkva caves and on the locality Bila Voda is described. The latter is a special rock fall of the limestone wall situated between the ponore and a significant road. This slope movement has been known for more than 100 years. It is triggered by continuously frost weathering, propagation of the karstification and hundred-rain water erosion
