Originální abstrakt

This paper is based on our optimisation criteria for network design research. Studied in the general section of the research were the problems of design of optimal network topology. The ATM network was used as a network example. COMNETIII simulation program is used for modelling of described research. The theoretical section will be focused to the new knowledge of ATM, practical application of ATM theory will be used for optimising the ATM network topology. Criteria were defined for this optimisation.
