Two components system of fluoride salts SnF2 NaF was studied experimentally and theoretically in order to determine its temperature of primary crystallization. To study the binary system experimentally cooling curves of various system samples were measured. On the basis of these cooling curves the phase diagram of system was constructed. Selected samples after their cool down were used for formed compounds determination. Further the temperature of primary crystallization of the SnF2 NaF system was calculated using a thermodynamic model and calculated values were compared with measured data. Obtained results were compared with the published SnF2 NaF phase diagram and consequently important differences were established. These differences were explained in the paper and a new modified phase diagram of the SnF2 NaF system was drawn.
