Originální abstrakt

The reliability and serviceability of a steel plane frame is analysed in the present paper. For the stochastic solution, a calculation model based on the nonlinear variant of the beam finite element method and on the Monte Carlo method was applied. Input random quantities are expressed both by nonparametric and parametric probability distributions. Uniquely own programmes of the author of the present paper have been applied, i.e., the analysis presented is fully independent of other programming systems, and no task of their comparison and/or of promotion has been set. The problems of introducing the reliability calculations into the design practice are discussed.
