This paper describes two methods of synchronous motor parameter identification. These are improved frequency analysis (IFA) and method using Ohms law and time constant measurement. The article compares the accuracy of both methods in ideal conditions as well as in the presence of noise. Finally, the best method is implemented into DSC.
