In this paper, some findings about obtaining resonant frequencies in closed microwave structures using the FDTD method are presented. The essential formulas for evaluation the dispersion and anisotropy in FDTD method are introduced. A procedure for gaining the corrected frequency and error estimate is derived. Finally, usage of the described technique is discussed.
