A development in the field of a synchronous car starter-generator is introduced in this paper. The required parameters of the starter-generator are defined. The system uses a synchronous permanent magnets EC-machine placed directly on the crankshaft of the combustion engine. Some measurement results of a newly constructed and improved synchronous machine are presented
