Why to work at BUT?

We are one of the largest universities in the Czech Republic and the oldest university in Brno. Since 1899, when our existence was sanctioned by Emperor Franz Joseph I, we have had a lot of work, experience, and especially results. Today we are able to offer not only quality higher education, but we are also heavily involved in science and research. Our graduates have no problem finding employment in the labour market, and most of them also perceive that without their studies at BUT, their current employment and other work opportunities would not be anywhere near that level. The range of disciplines we cover is very varied. Besides classical technical disciplines, we offer education in architecture, natural sciences, economics or fine arts. We have established five separate research centres, we are also involved in the activities of two national centres of excellence. We make sure that the outcomes of our scientists are beneficial and contribute to a better future for all of us.
