The consecutive master’s study programme Architecture and Settlement Development with the Architecture Planning specialisation and a standard 2-year study duration follows on from four-year bachelor’s courses with a similar focus on architecture. During their studies, students will become familiar with the newest scientific and technical findings in all their complex mutual interconnectivity and are guided towards the creation of independent architectural and engineering work. They apply the knowledge gained in individual subjects in individually assigned architectural and technical tasks drawn from the issues of their field of study. Students extend the theoretical foundation gained during their bachelor’s studies with additional theoretical knowledge. This serves as a basis for specialised subjects from various fields taken according to students’ specialisations, with a primary focus on the studied field of Architecture Planning. Economics subjects are also represented in the syllabus. During the course of the students’ studies, emphasis is placed on the independent creation of architectural and engineering work. After graduation, students are capable of independently solving even demanding specialised problems and are thus prepared for their careers in architecture or engineering branches in industry.
