Profile
On the grounds of compulsory exams and seminars, the bachelor is provided with the sum of knowledge and skills which enable him/her to look for, find and process information connected with contemporary fine art in a self-standing and independent way. The bachelor is able to deal with the contemporary fine art in its whole range, from traditional media to contemporary digital media and action art, with the special attention to the semantics of "imprint" as a principle which appears - among others - also in the creation of graphic art. In his/her studio work, bachelor learns theoretic and practical basics of drawing and graphic techniques, with a possible extension to the area of painting and to other media, including the digital and action ones.
Key learning outcomes
The BA graduate has a general knowledge of theory nad history of art, philosophy, aesthetics, and technologies essential for artistic development, communication, and presentation. He or she is aware of the history, theory, and contemporary context of drawing and graphics and has mastered these technologies both in traditional and digital approach. Graduates are able to make an artwork in the respective medium both in 2D, installation, or digital presentation.
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
Graduates have mastered classical disciplines - painting, drawing, printmaking - and are able to work with their overlaps to multimedia and action art contexts. They are able to situate the artwork into space and embed other artistic forms in it.
