The possibilities when publishing a scientific text are wide and depend on many factors – industry practices, project conditions, the organisation’s own settings or the author’s personal preferences.

Recently, the idea of open access to scientific information, which allows the results of excellent research supported by public budgets to be made available to the general scientific public without barriers, has become increasingly popular.

There are many ways to achieve open access, from publishing in fully open access journals (Gold Open Access) to depositing full versions of texts in dedicated repositories (Green Open Access).
